Pleinair Online
Pleinair Online surprised me. Instead of fighting anything, you roam handcrafted regions — coastal cliffs, quiet villages, misty forests — and paint scenes on location, which is exactly what 'plein air' means in real art. The core loop is finding a good spot, setting up your easel, and then a light, satisfying color-matching mini-game that mimics laying down brushstrokes. It sounds thin on paper but it's oddly addictive.
Controls are built entirely around tapping and dragging, and they respect one-handed play. You can pan the world with a thumb, and the brush gestures feel natural once you stop fighting them. There's a light social layer where you visit other players' galleries, but it never nags you or interrupts the calm. I left notifications on and still felt relaxed, which is rare.
On battery it behaves well — the art style is stylised rather than photoreal, so the phone stays cool through long sessions. I got roughly two hours of exploration before dropping below half charge on my older Android. Lower the render distance in settings if you're on a weaker device; it barely changes how the game looks.
