About
Pocket Verdict started as a group chat between friends who kept arguing about which games were actually worth the storage space. We turned those arguments into a small editorial site where every review comes from someone who finished a real chunk of the game, not just the tutorial.
We test on a mix of devices — a mid-range Android from a couple of years ago and a newer iPhone — because a game that runs beautifully on flagship hardware can stutter badly on the phone most people actually own. Frame drops, thermal throttling and overnight battery drain all end up in our notes.
Games are chosen the boring, honest way: we look at what readers ask about, what's climbing the charts, and what our own editors won't shut up about. No sponsor gets to jump the queue. If a game is mediocre, we say so.
The team is tiny and opinionated, and we like it that way. You'll notice our reviews disagree with each other sometimes — that's the point of having real people write them.
